Our Aim

We aim to provide an educational, inspirational and exciting insight into another world, a world that is out of the reach and unknown to most visitors to this coastline. We aim to educate the visiting people to show them the need for conservation and protection for these graceful gentle giants of the world.

We also want to provide a source of income for the fishermen who live in the areas where the Whale Sharks Visit, in the hope that our work will be noticed in other parts of the world and that they may follow suit and the whale sharks may replenish its numbers and be the king of the fish in both size and numbers.

The Tour - Full day

5:30- Pick ups will commence in the Riviera Maya. Pick ups will be in an air-conditioned vehicle and we will serve a light (pastries and fruit) break fast on route.

8:30- On arrival in Chiquila the group will be divided into smaller groups of 8 and will be boarded onto their boats for their Whale Shark watching and or snorkeling experience.

13:00 - After spending three and a half hours in search of Whale Sharks we will visit the beautiful, untouched by tourism , island of Holbox, where lunch will be provided in one of the small hotels on the beach. After lunch the guests will have the opportunity to relax on the beach or explore the island.

3:30 - Board the boats again for a 25 minute cruise back to the mainland at Chiquila to board the transportation for the return journey.

4:00 - Leave Chiquila and head back to the Riviera Maya.

7:00 - Drop off commences

8:00 - Drop off finishes

Pricing

This is for an all inclusive day (excluding alcohol) including breakfast, lunch and soft drinks. The cost also includes the round trip transportation to Chiquila and the boat tour to go in search of the Whale Sharks.

In addition the guests will be given the opportunity to snorkel with the Whale Shark for an additional cost of $30 per person. Conservation rules and regulations will be followed whilst the guests are in the water. Additional education will be provided to those who wish to partake in the snorkeling trip. We shall donate part of this money to help the local community of Chiquila and also to fund more in depth studies into the life and behaviour of the largest fish in the world.
